How to Locate Someone at a California Men's Colony
- 1). Gather information related to the inmate at the CMC. Jot down the incarcerated individual's full name and inmate number. Refer to this document when contacting the CMC facility or using the online inmate locator system.
- 2). Log on to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's (CDCR) official website. Gain access to the site by reading and accepting the website's terms and conditions. Input the inmate's identification number or first and last name into the search field. You can narrow your search results by entering both a first and last name. When using this search field, you can also input partial name searches to locate an individual. For example, if an inmate's last name is "Williams," you can enter "Will."
- 3). Contact the CMC by phone at 805-547-7900. Provide the inmate's first and last name or identification number to a facility representative. You can also request information regarding specific visiting hours and any other pertinent information.
