How to Replace a Line for an Electric Weeder

    • 1). Disconnect the extension cord from the outlet located on the electric weeder.

    • 2). Locate the hub cap release tabs and press them inward simultaneously. Pull up on the hub cap to remove it from the hub.

    • 3). Remove the spool from the hub and remove all remaining line from the spool. Discard the old line appropriately.

    • 4). Cut a 30-foot length of .065-inch diameter trimmer line from a filler spool with sharp scissors. Insert one end of the line into the hole on the side of the trimmer spool.

    • 5). Wind the line as indicated by the arrow on the trimmer spool. Place the line in the indention on the side of the spool and leave four to six inches of the line extending from the spool.

    • 6). Feed the extended free end of the line into the hole in the side of the hub. Position the spring in the center of the hub and slide the spool into place in the hub.

    • 7). Secure the spool in the hub by snapping the hub cap back onto the hub. Push the locking tabs on the side securely in place for safe operation.
