Honduras Beach Hotels - Once You Go Round, You Will Never Go Square Again
I love undiscovered slices of Caribbean paradise, so the north coast of Honduras is pretty prominent on my radar right now.
I've seen signs that development will be hitting this area in the next few years, as it did the Bay Islands about a decade ago.
This will be fantastic for the local economy, but I'm selfishly hoping that it won't result in some really overbuilt and over crowded beach stretches.
This is why I was so excited about Honduras Beach Hotels.
I've made about three trips to stay at in Honduras so far and as usual came away very pleased with my vacation choice.
Banana Beach is a resort, but has avoided a multi-room hotel approach and instead has three lovely rounded beach houses with an intimate feel to them.
Banana Beach sits between sleepy Trujillo and the small but expanding Santa Fe.
Banana Beach's proximity to Santa Fe gives you a great opportunity to experience the vibrant Garifuna culture of the surrounding areas.
There are regular Garifuna parties at the bar and always a great mix, of guests, local gringos and Garifunas from the surrounding towns.
One of the main things that attracted me to Banana Beach were its unique Cabanas.
I recently visited a friend that has had a Delta eco-friendly round house built and I absolutely loved it! There is something open, light and fresh about a circular shaped room.
According to Feng Shui experts, a circular room allows energy to flow and helps balance your chi.
Corners cause energy to stagnate, so a circular room will help you feel balance and positive...
exactly what I need on vacation! So, after how much I loved my round house experience at Banana Beach, I wanted to share with you the top 5 reasons to forget about squared beach house and embrace the circular! To check out the Banana Beach Cabanas yourself visit: 5 reasons to go round with your beach house...
- If you have a good view, circular houses allow you to see all of it.
Most hotels / beach houses you stay in you only have views at certain angles.
With good window choices a circular beach house allows that view to be panoramic.
My views at Banana Beach allowed me to see the beach and the beautiful vegetation around the resort from one spot in the room! - It's a great eco-choice! Okay, this obviously depends where you are staying, but according to eco-builders the rounded shape of a house automatically makes it more efficient.
This is especially important if you are paying for power as part of a long-term beach rental agreement. - It creates a light and the space seems larger.
With minimal effort even a cosy space can look bright, open and spacious.
This is what happened at Banana Beach.
They combined white walls, with bamboo features and clunky colonial furniture...
and make it all work somehow! - Open plan works so well! I always think that open plan works incredibly well with a rounded room.
Sometimes open plan in a traditional squared building can look stark, whereas in a rounded room it seems to flow more naturally. - It's unique! Vacations should be special and there is always something unique about a circular shaped house.
Banana Beach Cabanas were stunning from the minute I spotted them, even more so on the inside.
When you take a break from your routine, you should pamper yourself with something out of the ordinary.
