    Pulling

    • Pulling on your hair with your fingers, or from tight hair styles such as ponytails or braids can cause your hair to break.

    Appliances

    • Using appliances such as curling or straightening irons or hair dryers may damage your hair and cause it to break.

    Chemicals

    • Applying chemicals to your hair, such as relaxers, perms or dyes may break your hair at the root or lower on the strands.
