The Dubai International Airport is the home base of the three international airlines of Dubai, which are Emirates, FlyDubai and Emirates SkyCargo. There are 3 passenger terminals in the airport. Terminal 3 is exclusively for Emirates Airlines. It is the largest airport terminal in the world with a total capacity of 75 million passengers. Passengers can move freely between Terminal 1 and 3. A shuttle service runs to transit passengers from Terminal 2 to the other two terminals.
The largest number of flights by Emirates is to India. It flies to 10 cities in India, which include Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode and Ahmedabad. Emirates Air operates 1 daily flight from Dubai to Mumbai, which departs from Dubai at 6.45 pm and reaches Mumbai at 11.20 pm. From Mumbai to Dubai there are two daily flights by Emirates, which leave at 12.25 pm and 1.15 pm. They reach Dubai at 1.55 pm and 4.45 pm respectively.
The check-in at the airport is possible 2 to 48 hours prior to the departure of the flight either at the counter or at the lounge in the airport, or online through the internet. The mobile check-in is also provided. The self check-in kiosks are available at the Dubai International Airport.
The First Class and Business Class customers can take advantage of the complimentary chauffer-drive service, so that they can reach and get away from the airport easily. The members of frequent flyer program, Skywards are offered additional services. Children are given special attention and care through the Young Flyer program. The baggage allowance provided by the airline depends on the class of travel and the Emirates Skywards membership. The check-in baggage allowance for Economy Class passengers is 30 kg, while it is 40 kg for the Business Class passengers. If you are flying in the First Class, you get the check-in baggage allowance of 50 kg. When you are travelling with an infant, you are allowed to carry an additional baggage up to 10 kg.
