How to Rewire Logic Pro
- 1). Install a DAW with ReWire capabilities on your computer, such as Ableton Live, FL Studio or Cubase. If you do not own a full version of any of this software, you can download demos to complete these steps. Double-click on the installation EXE and follow the on-screen instructions.
- 2). Launch the DAW so that the ReWire application will be installed on your machine, then exit the program.
- 3). Open Logic Pro and go to one of the audio tracks included in the default project. You can either double-click on the Logic Pro icon on your desktop, or click on "Start," "All Programs" and select "Logic Pro" from the list of programs that appears.
- 4). Click "Channel," "ReWire" and the desired ReWire channel from the list of available channels that appears. The "Channel" settings can be found on the left side of Logic Pro's user interface screen.
- 5). Return to the downloaded ReWire software containing DAW and select the desired ReWire channel in the program's channel "Output" settings for the track whose audio you want to send to Logic Pro. The DAW will now be slaved to Logic Pro's tempo and transport controls.
