How to Remove Windows Media Player 11

Uninstall in Safe Mode

• 1). Restart the computer and, just as it restarts, press "F8" to access safe mode.
  
  
• 2). Select "Safe Mode" and press the "Enter" key.
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Start" button on the system desktop. Choose "Run" from the Start menu options.
  
  
• 4). Type "appwiz.cpl" into the Run field and press "OK."
  
  
• 5). Click on "Windows Media Player 11" from the list of options, and click "Remove." Follow the uninstallation prompts which includes restarting the system. Check to see if the program is still installed. If it is, run the second removal method as described in Section 2.
  
  

Run a Removal Program

• 1). Click on the "Start" menu on the computer desktop.
  
  
• 2). Select "Run" and type "%windir%\$ntUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spuninst.exe" into the Run field. Click "OK."
  
  
• 3). Press "Next" and click "Finish." Windows Media Player 11 will be uninstalled.
