- 1). Open a file recovery program. Three programs that you can use are Easeus, Recuva and Tokiwa DataRecovery.
- 2). Perform a scan on the hard drive containing the disc software. The common hard drive where the files are stored is the "C:/" drive.
- 3). Locate the missing disc software file. Select it and click the "Restore" button. The file will return to its previous location.
